April 6 - April 28, 2022
(not within or beyond) features the works of Gabrielle Lockwood Estrin (UK), Carina Santos (UK/PH), and Brittany M. Watkins (USA). The works presented together to create conversations on themes of what it is to be in and out, to be both the observer and the participant, and how does the subject respond or try to exist in space that is unavailable to them. Their works, intentional or not, are responses to the unavailability of space from positions of unavailability by creating spaces; a space for themselves and a space for others to look into. (not within or beyond) brings a selection of artists whose works respond to these ideas via abstraction, internalized space, and fictional narratives.
