Victoria uses color, texture, and form in creating visually stimulating images while experimenting with spontaneity and chance. Her works draw influence from analytical cubism and abstract expressionism, presenting an ensemble of fictional and non-fictional landscapes as scenes where memories could be re-interpreted and reclaimed. Victoria’s works were featured in several exhibitions in the Philippines and Southeast Asia
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Victoria (b. 1991) presents scenes that use the palette of the old masters, which are then disrupted by unrehearsed textured strokes of bright paint as attempts to reclaim narratives from the past. Ana Victoria studied at De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde and La Consolacion College, Manila.
