Setting It Slightly Ajar highlights new works by Demosthenes Campos, Don Djerassi Dalmacio, Gio Lebajo, Jeline Laporga, Jonas Eslao, and Jonathan Castro. Patterns, grids, and textures transform the two-dimensional plane into settings that somehow represent the way ideas are conveyed from the mind to the material. The ensemble contains varied approaches to abstraction, from minimalism to abstract expressionism, as one recognizes inquiries into the artist's involvement in the imposition of an image. Thus, a dilemma to expose the meaning and process of the work or, more broadly, to hold everything ajar.
