equilibrium(s)

A group survey exhibition of thirty-nine artists follows Albert Camus' The Myth of Sisyphus (1942), where he elucidates the concept of the absurd: "If I convince myself that this life has no other aspect than that of the absurd, if I feel that its whole equilibrium depends on that perpetual opposition between my conscious revolt and the darkness in which it struggles, if I admit that my freedom has no meaning except in relation to its limited fate, then I must say that what counts is not the best living but the most living."

The presentation brings together different perspectives and insights from artists of different generations who experienced drastic transformations in living between decades of scientific and technological advancement and periods of socio-economic turmoil while caught between the present and the attempts to define a “new world”.
